Nathan Cambien

Nathan Cambien is part-time professor of EU competition law at the Centre for European Law and a Member of the Legal Service of the EU Commission (competition team).

Education

He holds a PhD in law from the KU Leuven (fellowship of the Research Foundation – Flanders), a Magister Juris degree from the University of Oxford as well as a master’s degree in law from the KU Leuven.

Previously, he worked as a référendaire at the Court of Justice and the General Court of the EU and as an attorney at the Brussels Bar.

Research

Nathan is a regular speaker at conferences and workshops and a regular contributor to legal journals, edited volumes and blogs. His research interests cover different aspects of EU internal market law, free movement of persons, and EU competition law.

Teaching

At the Université Libre de Bruxelles, he teaches EU Competition Law (DROI-C-687).

In the past, he taught at several universities in Belgium and abroad, including the University of Utrecht, the China-EU School of Law (Beijing), the university of Geneva and FGV Direito São Paulo.
