Registrations are now open for the two Summer Schools that are taking place at the ULB early July. Both are organised on site in Brussels, but can also be followed online.
The European Criminal Law Academic Network (ECLAN) is pleased to announce the 20th edition of the Summer School on “The EU Area of Criminal Justice” to be held from 1 to 5 July 2024. This year, the Summer School is back with a renewed programme, particularly attentive to ensuring that all topics are addressed from complementary angles, and aimed at complementing the academic perspective with that of practitioners at EU and national level. In particular, this year’s Summer School will be centered on judicial cooperation in criminal matters, dealing with well-known instruments such as the European Arrest Warrant, but also tackling recent developments such as the collection of electronic evidence, or the rights of victims. A variety of topics will thus be analysed from different angles in order to provide a well-rounded understanding of the complexities of this evolving field. More details are available here.
The Odysseus Network is pleased to announce the 24th edition of the Summer School on EU Migration and Asylum Law and Policy that will take place from 1 to 12 July 2024. The summer school is a unique opportunity to follow in a group of one hundred persons a program legally oriented made of three parts (introductory courses to EU law, migration including visas and borders as well as asylum) with lecturers coming from all EU Member States and EU officials from Commission, Parliament, Council, Court of Justice or EU agencies. Le cours d’été existe aussi en français. The summer school will focus this year on the adoption of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum. More details are available here.
