4 May 2023  à  17h 30 - 19h 30

More than 10 years after the adoption of the EU Directive on preventing and combating human trafficking, the EU Commission has proposed in December 2022 its revision. What are the new rules proposed ? and what are the objectives they pursue? What could be their impact at national level ? These are some of the questions that would be addressed during this event.

The speakers will be:

  • Zsuzsanna Felkai Janssen, team leader of the anti-trafficking team, Office of the EU Anti-Trafficking Coordinator
  • Barbara Vangierdegom, Belgian Ministry of Justice,  General Directorate Legislation, Civil Liberties and Fundamental Rights, Criminal Policy Service Organised Crime Unit.

The event will be chaired by Dr Amy Weatherburn and the discussant will be Elena Spada.

Registration is free but mandatory, and you can register by sending an email at cde@ulb.be.
