Event on the EU Directives on Procedural Rights in Criminal Matters

29 June 2023  à  17h 00 - 19h 00

Almost 15 years ago, a Roadmap for strengthening the procedural rights of suspected or accused persons in criminal proceedings was adopted and endorsed by the EU institutions. This led to the adoption of 6 Directives on procedural rights between 2010 and 2016, which have since then been transposed by the Member States.

The Closing Academic Year Event of the KULeuven Institute for European, organised with the support of the ULB Centre for European Law, proposes to look back and forward at these legislative developments, aiming to answer the questions of where do we stand, where do we go? The event will take place in Brussels (Campus KULeuven Brussels) and online.

The description of the issues tackled, as well as the precise programme are available here. You can register here: link.
