On 13 and 14 October 2021, CDE Member, Dr Amy Weatherburn will participate in a high-level conference organised by the Austrian Human Trafficking Taskforce marking EU Anti-Trafficking Day. “Follow the Money: Financial Aspects of Combating Human Trafficking” seeks to outline how to tackle the gap between the profits of perpetrators and the limited access to compensation received by human trafficking victims.

Dr Weatherburn will share insights from the ILO Study on access to protection and remedy for victims of human trafficking for the purpose of labour exploitation in Belgium and the Netherlands emphasising the different remedy pathways available to victims of labour exploitation both within the criminal justice system and beyond.
