Research activities
He is teaching assistant to the Chair of EU Law at UCSC (Prof. Francesco Bestagno). His thesis “Customs Law Sanctions Between International Law and EU Law” (original title in Italian: “Le sanzioni doganali tra ordinamento internazionale ed europeo”) is focused on the issue of harmonization of customs law infringements and sanctions, both from an International Trade Law and from a EU-Law perspective. In particular, the project analyzes the relevant WTO framework and assesses the level of compliance of the current European regulations in the field, drawing attention to the emerging contrasts and the available tools to enhance the compatibility between the two systems.
