Brief presentation<\/p>\n
Matteo Ceolotto holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Law from Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), Milan. He is currently PhD candidate at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at UCSC, where he is carrying out his research under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Bestagno and Prof. Andrea Santini. In July 2016 he attended the 13th edition of the Summer School \u201cTHE EU AREA OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE\u201d, organized by the IEE in collaboration with ECLAN. He started his legal traineeship in 2015 and in the past two years he has worked in a law firm in Milan, specialized in criminal law. In November 2017 he passed his Lawyer qualification exam (Milan Bar Association).<\/p>\n
Research activities<\/p>\n
He is teaching assistant to the Chair of EU Law at UCSC (Prof. Francesco Bestagno). His thesis “Customs Law Sanctions Between International Law and EU Law\u201d (original title in Italian: \u201cLe sanzioni doganali tra ordinamento internazionale ed europeo\u201d) is focused on the issue of harmonization of customs law infringements and sanctions, both from an International Trade Law and from a EU-Law perspective. In particular, the project analyzes the relevant WTO framework and assesses the level of compliance of the current European regulations in the field, drawing attention to the emerging contrasts and the available tools to enhance the compatibility between the two systems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
