Simone Rivabella is a PhD candidate under the co-supervision of Prof. Katalin Ligeti from the University of Luxembourg (Unilu) and Prof. Anne Weyemberg from the ULB. His PhD research focuses on the independence and accountability of prosecutors in EU countries and within the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Prior to joining the University of Luxembourg, Simone was a Legal and Policy Analyst at the Anti-Corruption Division of the Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs of the OECD in Paris. He is a qualified lawyer registered with the Genoa Bar Association (Italy) and worked as a practicing lawyer in the fields of financial criminal law and legal persons’ liability.
Simone holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Genoa and an LLM in European Economic and Financial Criminal Law from the University of Luxembourg.
